Charts window allows you to observe the market in graphic form. It displays the selected instrument's price chart and any additional technical indicators that you select. Pre-built studies include Volume, Directional Movement (ADX), Bollinger Bands, Choppiness, simple and exponential Moving Averages, MACD, Momentum, ROC, On Balance Volume, Donchian Channels, RSI, Stochastic, Average True Range, CCI, Keltner Bands, Money Flow Index, StochRSI. Technical Indicator settings (e.g. length, smoothing) and display options (e.g. line thickness, color) are fully customizable through right-click menu or Study Manager.

In addition to pre-built studies, you can define and chart your own Custom Studies using Formula Wizard. The snapshot above features "Bar Point Range" Custom Study {Bar[High,D] - Bar[Low,D]}, which graphs difference between high and low of the daily bar in the bottom pane.

Overlays feature allows you to chart any symbol/study over any existing symbol/study. Overlays enable visual comparison analysis of multiple symbols and/or multiple studies with different parameters. The chart above features RSI overlay of MSFT (red) over RSI of PALM (blue) in the middle pane.

In addition to standard built-in chart types (Bar, Candle, Line), you can setup Color Bars using Formula Wizard to color charts based on any criterion. The chart above is setup with Stochastic Color Bars {Stochastic[StocK,14,3,3,D]} in the top pane to quickly spot oversold/overbought periods. Price bars are colored based on value of Slow Stochastic: 0-20 is red, 21-40 is pink, 41-60 is blue, 61-80 is light green, 81-100 is dark green.

Integrated BackTesting enables you to define a Trading Strategy and visualize buy/sell points right on your chart! The chart above displays results of backtesting IBM with "MACD Histogram Crossover" strategy. There is a Sell arrow on January 16th when MACD Histogram dropped below zero.

Multi-Timeframe Charts enable you to have different timeframes on the same chart (e.g. 1-min, 15-min, and Daily Moving Averages together on a 3-minute chart). Setup Custom Studies in various timeframes and then put them all on any interval Chart.

Bar Lines feature lets you plot pivot lines based on any formula. For example, you can draw a horizontal line at yesterday's (H+L+C)/3 by setting up a Custom Study using formula (Bar[High,D,1] + Bar[Low,D,1] + Bar[Close,D,1]) / 3, selecting "Horizontal @ last bar's value" display option, and overlaying it over the price chart. The chart above displays lines at yesterday's high and low.

Line Drawing provides a powerfull mechanism to predict the market. Built-in line types include Segment, Ray, Extended Line, Retracement, and Regression. You can even setup alerts to trigger when a trendline is crossed by the price curve! With Notes you will never forget your trading ideas again. In the snapshot above, the green trendline confirms an uptrend in PALM in the beginning of January while the red trendline confirms a downtrend for the period of January 10-14.

Crosshairs, Labels, and Cursor Tracking window take guesswork out of chart interpretation. Cursor Tracking window displays price and study values of the bar where crosshairs are placed. Labels display the rightmost value of the price, studies, and overlays. Cursor Tracking window in the left upper corner above shows price/study/overlay values for February 8th bar.

Snapshot Window allows to track real-time quote updates for the symbol without a need to switch to Level I window. Right-click on Snapshot window to pick from close to 100 available fields. The chart above shows a Snapshot window with Last, Bid, Ask, High, Low, and Volume fields.

Symbol and Interval Tabs allow to conveniently combine multiple charts in one. Add the most frequently viewed symbols and intervals for a convenient single-click access to switch between different symbols and intervals on the Chart. Simply click on a symbol or interval tab and the corresponding chart will get displayed.

Charts support various scaling options: Auto, Log, Horizontal, and Vertical Scaling. Use Chart Toolbar to adjust horizontal/vertical scaling and to toggle Auto or Log Scale on/off. Auto Scale needs to be off to allow up/down scrolling.

Direct Access Trading allows you to send a sell/buy order to your favorite broker right from the chart. SWP API enables developers to capture chart orders in their own applications. Right-click on the price chart and select the type of order.

Charts can be easily navigated using the mouse or arrow keys. Go To Date/Time option allows to scroll the chart to a specific date/time.

Chart Toolbar on the right side allows you to change scale, price charts thickness, chart style, etc. In addition, Drawing Toolbar provides a convenient way to draw various lines and notes. All color and font settings are fully customizable from the Edit menu.
