In addition to predefined columns, you can create your own Alert Columns with our powerful Formula Wizard. To add an Alert Column, select Columns --> Custom Field Wizard:
Click New to create a new alert column or select one of the existing alert columns and click Edit to edit it.
Specify the name of the alert column and use Formula Wizard to create the formula. The following example demonstrates how to create an alert column that notifies you when 14-day fast Stochastic K line crosses above the D line:
The new alert column will appear in Columns --> Custom Fields menu. Clicking on it in Columns --> Custom Fields menu will add that alert column to the Level I window.
Next, we will configure alert column settings. Right-click on the alert column header and select Column Properties.
In Alerts tab specify whether you want to get alerted when alert becomes TRUE or FALSE or both. To get an audio alert, click on Browse button to select the sound file. Alerts tab also allows you to customize the text displayed in the alert column when condition is TRUE or FALSE.
In the following example, alert column will display "Buy" when alert is TRUE and "False" otherwise. When alert becomes TRUE, this alert column will notify you with a sound. You can click on top-level Edit menu and select Preferences to indicate your preferred notification methods for alerts (a popup message, flashing indicator, sound alert, symbol announcement, e-mail notification).
Color Rules tab allows to customize text and background colors based on alert state. Here, we customized the alert column to display black text on green background when alert is TRUE.
