Direct Access Trading

Direct Access Trading allows to send orders for execution to your favorite broker right from Stock Watch Pro. We are currently integrated with Interactive Brokers, MB Trading, and Preferred Trade. We are in the process of integrating with other popular brokers. Developers can use SWP API to integrate with their own applications.

To enable integration with Interactive Brokers, click on Edit -> Preferences in SWP, and select Interactive Brokers option from the Trading tab. You also need to check 'Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients' option on the Settings menu in TWS. TWS should be running when orders are submitted from Stock Watch Pro.

To take advantage of integration with MB Trading, start MBT Navigator software and select "Stock Watch Pro" from Host menu on Login dialog. Once logged in, MBT Navigator will start up Stock Watch Pro. MBT Navigator windows can be toggled on/off in SWP from "MBT Navigator" top-level menu. Order entry screens can be attached to the bottom of Level I, Level II, and Charts windows by selecting "Show Order Entry" from Level I, Level II, and Chart menus.

To enable integration with Preferred Trade, click on Edit -> Preferences in SWP, and select Preferred Trade option from the Trading tab. PT software should be running when orders are submitted from SWP.

The following convenient methods are available to send an order:

In Level I window, double-click on Bid cell or Ask cell to send a sell or a buy order respectively. Right-clicking on any row pops up a menu that allows to send a trade for execution.
In Level II window, double-click on Bid list or Ask list to send a sell or a buy order respectively. The symbol of Market Maker you clicked on is sent to the broker.
"On Alert" field of Alert Settings window allows to setup a trade for execution when that alert is triggered. When alert is triggered, check "Send Trade" option to send the preset order for execution.
Right-click on a chart to send a sell/buy order to your favorite broker.

You can customize trade-related settings in Trading tab of Preferences dialog (click on Edit --> Preferences). Select a broker and click on Settings button to configure options specific to your broker.
